The Gloria M. Smith Award

 

This award has been established in honor of the later Gloria M Smith. As an educator in the DC Public School system, she selflessly poured into so many youths in the DMV. She dedicated her life to her family, community, and all she encountered. We are continuing her legacy and need your assistance.

 

Our youth organization will be having an essay contest for deserving youth between the ages of 16 and 18. The recipient of this award should exemplify some of her core values such as Integrity, Vision for the Future, Compassion, Community, Selflessness, and the Pursuit of Knowledge.
